The Assistant Manager is responsible for working in tandem with the Director, overseeing day-to-day operations of The DAM Shop, including retail, barista, bar service, food truck, pizza & prep operations. This role ensures exceptional guest experience; efficient operations and a positive team culture aligned with The DAM Shop’s brand and values.
This role is a hybrid FOH & BOH leadership role.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
· Oversee daily operations across the barista area, bar, kitchen, & retail spaces
· Ensure smooth coordination between front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) teams
· Maintain high standards for cleanliness, safety, and service quality
· Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol regulations
· Assist with social media and marketing efforts including content creation.
Bar & Beverage Program
· Collaborate on product launches, tap rotations, menu development, tasting events, staff education & continuous development.
· Monitor inventory, ordering, and cost controls for beer, wine, and other beverages.
Kitchen Oversight
· Supervise kitchen staff to ensure food quality, consistency, and timely service
· Work with the Director to maintain food cost, inventory, vendor relationships, and menu updates
· Ensure adherence to food safety standards and regulations
Staff Leadership & Development
· Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and manage staff across all departments
· Foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable workplace culture
· Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching
Customer Experience
· Ensure a welcoming, high-quality guest experience at all times
· Address customer feedback and resolve issues promptly
· Maintain strong brand presence and community engagement
Qualifications
· 3–5+ years of management experience in hospitality (brewery, bar, or restaurant preferred)
· Strong knowledge of back of house operations
· Experience managing multi-department operations
· Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
· Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and cost control
· Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
