Accounts Payable Clerk
NorthShore Dock & Marine is a growing dock & hoist installation company in Kewadin, Michigan. We are currently seeking to fill a full-time position for an Accounts Payable Clerk.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
- Documents expenses by receiving, verifying and allocating credit card receipts.
- Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions
- Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
- Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal id numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
- Ensures credit is received for outstanding memos.
- Frequent communication with management and other departments regarding accounts status.
- Maintains historical records by scanning and filing documents.
- Disburses petty cash by recording entry and verifying documentation.
- Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
