Rotary Club of Elk Rapids Scholarship Application

Three, $2,500 scholarships are available to current ERHS Seniors who plan on attending or are currently attending Northwestern Michigan College
Requirements:
1. Applicants must be a current graduating senior of Elk Rapids Public Schools (either ERHS or Sunrise Academy) and can apply up to two years after graduation year.
2. Academic performance will be considered in awarding decision of scholarships.
3. Applicants are required to provide documentation of academic performance.
4. Applicants need to submit two written letters of recommendation with the application.
5. The completed application and required documents need to be postmarked no later than April 21, 2025, and mailed to:

Review and Announcement Procedure:
1. A committee made up of members from The Rotary Club of Elk Rapids will review the applications and select candidates for an interview.
2. Interviews will take place April 28, 29 or 30. Final day/evening to be determined.
3. All interviewees will be made aware of the results the first week of May or at ERS Senior Academic Awards Night.
4. Public announcement of the recipients will take place via Rotary Club meeting, local newspaper, Rotary Facebook page, Rotary website, and Elk Rapids School media resources.
5. Recipients will be invited to a Rotary Club gathering for recognition.
6. Recipients’ scholarship award check will be mailed to Northwestern Michigan College Financial Services Department for the benefit of the recipients.
