---Nature Education Intern Grass River Natural Area (GRNA) is seeking enthusiastic and creative individuals for its Nature Education Internship. This position offers hands-on experience in environmental education, with responsibilities that include leading summer camps, school programs, public events, and other educational initiatives. The intern will collaborate with the Education Director and naturalists to engage visitors and promote a deeper appreciation for the natural world at the Grass River Center in Bellaire, Michigan, and its surrounding area. Additional duties may include assisting with outreach programs and contributing to natural resource monitoring and conservation efforts. Timeline: Interviews typically held in February and March with selections made in March. Positions run mid-May to mid-August depending on intern's schedule. ?Compensation: This is a paid internship offering $14 per hour in 2026. This position offers hands-on experience in outdoor education and outreach, and data collection. This is a part time position (15-20 hours/week) with flexible hours with many evenings and weekends required. Responsibilities include tabling at local events, hosting educational programs, being a presence on the Grass River, collecting data, and working with volunteers. The goal of this position is to foster a culture of conservation on the Grass River. The intern(s) will work collaboratively with the Conservation Director and GRNA volunteers. Additional duties may include creating and distributing educational materials. Compensation: This is a paid internship offering $14 per hour.
