The Music House Museum Presents “It’s De-Lovely!” An Evening of Cole Porter and Friends featuring Edye Evans Hyde, Vocalist, Terry Lower, Piano, and Barry Ross, Violin.
Dr. Barry Ross is the former Assistant Conductor of the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra and Professor of Music Emeritus at Kalamazoo College, where he founded the Kalamazoo College and Community Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra, now the Kalamazoo Philharmonia. For 32 years Barry performed as Concertmaster and Assistant Conductor of the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra. During his almost 50 years in Michigan he has appeared as conductor, concertmaster and concert violinist throughout the country.
Singer and Actress Edye Evans Hyde has been performing for over 30 years in West Michigan, Los Angeles, Asia, and Europe. Edye has shared the stage with world renowned blues singer Linda Hopkins, Michael Bolton, actress Connie Stevens, Cuban trumpet player, Arturo Sandoval, Peter Scolari, Tom Wopat, and the late Ray Charles.
Art Pianist Terry Lower has been a fixture on the Michigan jazz scene for over 30 years. He is both a dazzling soloist and a superior accompanist. Terry Lower was born and raised in Battle Creek, Michigan. "My mother is a pianist who used to demonstrate sheet music in stores back in the 1940s. She started teaching me piano when I was six."
