Learn about ducks, snails, and the parasites that cause swimmer’s itch. Susan Price, Project Manager of the Michigan Swimmer’s Itch Partnership (MISIP) and Dr. Curtis Blankespoor, University of Michigan Biological Station will share the knowledge gained in a quest to find science-based solutions to this important problem that is all too common on many Northern Michigan lakes. Particular attention will be given to what the MISIP is doing to monitor, assess, and control swimmer’s itch and to answer your questions.
