Starting a Business Workshop
Description
Individuals in the beginning stages of starting a business, in need of accessing capital, or simply considering self-employment will have the opportunity to attend a Starting a Business workshop in Traverse City. The workshop is being offered by the Northwest Michigan Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in partnership with Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) Extended Educational Services. The workshop is being held October 6 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at NMC’s Parsons-Stulen Building, 2600 Aero Park Drive.
The workshop will be taught by SBDC Certified Business Consultant Walter Muellenhagen who will help aspiring entrepreneurs assess their abilities to lead and manage a company, and evaluate market and sales potential for their products or services. Start-up costs, financing options, and business planning will be introduced, along with necessary steps to getting started. This workshop is a requirement prior to meeting with a consultant one-on-one.
