Ethanology Distillation presents Comedy Night- A professional Stand Up comedy show hosted at the distillery every third Friday, January through April.
We have stepped up the talent this year with new comedians, and are excited to share the lineup with you. Professional comics from all corners of the country will perform at the distillery in Elk Rapids. Each show will consist of two comics, one headliner and one feature.

Feature: Kate Brindle
Bio: From coast to coast, Kate Brindle has been making people laugh everywhere she goes. Described as "original," "hilarious" and a "very poised comedian with a bright future ahead of her," Kate is a unique breath of fresh air on the comedy scene. Kate wrote, directed and acted in several theatrical productions
and worked in production for ABC News Radio and the Sally Jessy Raphael Show (meaning she spent A LOT of time dealing with crazy people--lucky for her, growing up with her family meant that she had 18 years of experience doing just that.)

Headliner: Mike Cronin
Bio: Michigan native and self-proclaimed smart-dumb guy Mike Cronin has been in comedy for 16 years. He regularly headlines at top comedy clubs and performs in some of the best festivals across the country with the likes of Tom Segura, Tommy Johnagin, Bo Burnham and Chad Daniels.

His self-deprecating, relatable humor about family, relationships and “being a big awkward lunk of man” leaves audiences both at ease and eager for the next unexpected quip or one-liner. His debut album “Hot For Too Long” hit the top 5 of iTunes comedy album charts and hold on to your pants: his next album and special is due to release in 2022.

Feature: Bryan Bixby
Bio: Bryan Bixby is a Chicago-based comic who’s been performing regularly since 2015. Originally from the small town of La Farge, WI, he tried comedy for the first time in high school at the age of 15 and continued performing at local events throughout his teenage years. After moving to Portland, OR, his quick wit, clever writing, and rapid-fire delivery made him a staple in the comedy scene, earning him the title of “Portland’s Funniest Person” from Willamette Week. A regular at Helium Comedy Club, Bixby was a four-time finalist in Portland’s Funniest Competition and three-time finalist in the Oregon Comedy Competition, as well as co-creator and host of "Everyone Hates You" - a comprehensive roast show including battles, panels, and speed roasting audience volunteers.

Bio: Since 2014, Ray has been performing his sharp and witty jokes at bars, basements, back yards, clubs, festivals and pretty much anywhere with a microphone. Ray’s style is light and fun while still talking about the big stuff you're not supposed to talk about at dinner but do anyways. His self-produced debut comedy album “B-Sides All That” went to #1 on Amazon Music for new comedy in 2020.

Bio: David Dyer has been performing stand-up at comedy clubs, theatres, and corporate events for over twenty-five years. He’s worked with some of the best comics in the
industry including Mike Birbiglia, Jim Breuer, and Lewis Black. He’s been a contributing writer to NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” and “ABC’s PoliticallyIncorrect”. He’s a frequent guest on the nationally syndicated “Bob and Tom Show” and often appears on the roster for their “Friends of The Bob and Tom Show”comedy tour. He has as DryBar Comedy Special called “Further Along than Anyone Expected” with over 1 million views. At the age of 49, David became a Paid-On-Call Firefighter with Grand Rapids Township Fire Department and at the age of 53, became a Full-Time firefighter with that same department. In November of 2021, he had the honor of being a presenter at the prestigious TEDxDetroit event where he spoke about his careers in both comedy and the fire service.

A finalist in the Border City Comedy Festival and frequent performer at Laugh Fest, Wesley connects with young, old, and every age in-between. He’s loud, he’s animated, and he commands the stage. Wes Ward currently resides in Detroit, MI

Bio: Steve Lott has headlined comedy clubs across the country for twenty-five years. No stranger to television or the concert stage, He has appeared on A&E, Comedy Central, and was the opening act for Bill Maher, Chicago, and Steven Wright. He can be heard on The Bob and Tom Show and NPR radio.
