Description
Thanks to the generosity of Pine Hill Nursery in Kewadin, community members can help support the restoration and expansion of the Elk Rapids District Library when they purchase their plants and supplies from the Torch Lake nursery May 16-19, 2019. Proceeds from the weekend sales will be donated to the Library Capital Campaign.
The fun and fundraising kick-off with a family-friendly Secret Garden Party on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Community members are invited to enjoy special activities including live music, snacks and wine tasting with WaterFire Vineyards. Continuing with the secret garden theme, a children’s version of the classic book “Secret Garden” will be available for purchase with proceeds going to the Campaign.
Browsing and shopping throughout the evening are encouraged. Hidden among the plants in the gardens and greenhouses will be five golden keys, which when discovered, can be redeemed for a door prize. One key/one prize per person.
Continuing Friday through Sunday, the WaterFire wine tastings and “Secret Garden” book sale will be offered daily along with the chance to find a hidden key for a door prize. These activities will be available 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 1:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
