Description
The Music House Museum is proud to present a classic Laurel and Hardy Silent Film "Fun Fest" at both 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 27. We welcome back one of our longest partners, Organist, Dave Calendine to accompany three classic Laurel and Hardy shorts: First, "Putting Pants on Phillip", Made in 1927, this is their first "official" film together as a team. The plot involves Laurel as Philip, a young Scot newly arrived in the United States, in full kilted splendor, suffering mishaps involving the kilt. His uncle, played by Hardy, is shown trying to put trousers on him. Second, "The Battle of The Century" The film is famous for using over 3,000 cream pies in the film's climactic pie fight. Third, "Liberty", a 1929 short comedy film starring Laurel and Hardy as escaped convicts who, while trying to change pants, wind up on a skyscraper in construction.
