TRAVERSE CITY, MI—Local employers will be recruiting qualified candidates for current open IT positions at the Northwest Michigan Works! / Northwestern Michigan College Information Technology Career Fair April 7 in Traverse City. The event will run from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hagerty Center located at 715 East Front Street. Along with local employers the career fair will include information and resources for people considering IT careers.
“IT employers are excited to meet the talent we have here in Northern Michigan,” said Rob Dickinson, Northwest Michigan Works! Business Liaison. ”In previous years we’ve seen great networking, onsite interviews, and very high level placements during this event. Whether you are looking for a career or have one to offer in the IT world, this event is going to be well worth your time."
The positions for which employers at the IT Career Fair will be recruiting include:
- Network Administration
- Software Development
- PHP and Web Development
- Network Tech Support
- Quality Assurance Engineers
- Network Internships
- Support Services Internship
Employers participating in the IT Career Fair include: Advanced Computer Solutions, Auto Owners Insurance, Beta Batch, Hagerty Insurance, Inforth Technologies, Integrated Systems Consultants, Interlochen Center for the Arts, Janco International StockTrac, Munson Healthcare, SafetyNet, Shoreline Fruit, SunFrog, and Wyant Computers.
Representatives from Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) and Ferris State University (FSU) will also be available to answer questions about education and training opportunities for anyone interested in IT careers.
Job seekers attending the event should bring at least 12 copies of their résumé and be prepared for a professional, onsite interview.
