WaterFire Vineyard and Grass Rivers are joining forces!
Join us for a unique learning experience on Sunday, September 15th, from 1 to 5 PM. James, the Education Director, is a talented musician and will be playing acoustic music from 2 to 5. Grass Rivers’ Naturalist, Franny, will lead nature walks through WaterFire Vineyards and the surrounding area. She will focus on plant identification, some foraging, and plant uses, with a little conservation conversation thrown into the mix. Her walk will be at 1 PM and will last about an hour. Please wear walking shoes and dress accordingly.
Grass River Natural Area is a 1,502-acre nature preserve surrounding the Grass River, located in the heart of Antrim County. Along with the beautiful views of the Grass River, it offers seven miles of well-maintained trails, including a 1.5-mile boardwalk floating above northern fen and cedar wetlands. With all these natural features, Grass River Natural Area offers visitors an outdoor living laboratory to explore and learn. The Grass River Center is open year-round, offering a comfortable learning environment for public programming, school field trips, camps, and more.
Grass Rivers is a wonderful resource for our community, and supporting them helps ensure they are with us for years to come. The day's activities are free with a suggested donation, as we would love to rally our community to support them!
