Traverse City SCORE will host its first free lunchtime workshop Thursday, Jan. 26, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Traverse Area District Library, 610 Woodmere Ave. "An Effective Website - The Place to Start" is the first in a series of workshops focused on digital marketing.
The workshops will be held the last Thursday of each month beginning Jan. 26 and running through October. Feel free to bring a lunch.
Presenters will include SCORE mentors as well as other experts from the community.
A website is often the first exposure that potential clients have of a business. The Jan. 26 program will help businesspeople learn what makes an effective website, if it's a DIY project or a job for a professional and other helpful tips.
The free workshop is for anyone thinking about starting a business or anyone already in business who wants to improve their web image.
Attendance is limited to 50 people for each workshop and preregistration is required. Go to the SCORE website, http://www.upnorthscore.com, and click on Daytime Workshops for a registration link.
