Description
PRESENTER: Mary Jo McElroy, Michigan Association of Accredited Flower Shows Judge Whether you’ve visited a flower show, entered your arrangement, or perhaps wondered about how it works, Mary Jo McElroy will take the mystery out of Flower Shows. She’ll explain the two divisions: the Horticulture Division, which gives us the opportunity to see plants at their best; and the Design Division, which is a creativity showcase for those who love arranging flowers. Flower shows offer a chance to learn more about plants and design, and connect with other gardeners to share knowledge and gardening skills. Mary Jo McElroy is an award-winning member of the Michigan Association of Accredited Flower Show Judges. These are the dedicated people who encourage, support, educate, and evaluate National Garden Club Flower Shows across the state. She is presenting at the invitation of ERGC member Judy Oswald, a fellow flower designer and flower show participant. Mary Jo served as Chair for the National Garden Club Standard Flower Show held at the 2025 Fall District 5 meeting in Manistee.
