Description
What is Family Fun Day?
Family Fun Day is a free community event hosted by Hayo-Went-Ha Camps in partnership with Great Start Collaborative. It brings families together for a day of hands-on activities, learning, and connection with local youth and youth development organizations.
When and where is Family Fun Day?
We are hosting two events this spring. Families are welcome to attend one or both.
What are the goals of Family Fun Day?
The goals are to connect families with local youth organizations, increase awareness of community resources, and build strong, long-term relationships between families and community partners.
What will families experience at the event?
Families can expect activity booths, demonstrations, games, and hands-on experiences hosted by local organizations. There will be shared activity areas for children and caregivers, along with food and chances to win prizes. There will be a chance to win a week of Day Camp at YMCA Torch Hayo-Went-Ha Sparks Day Camp.
How are booths and activities set up?
Booths will be spaced to allow for easy movement between activities. A welcome and check-in table will be set up near the entrance with clear signage and directions. Some activities may take place outdoors, depending on the organization hosting them. Dress to be outside as well as inside.
Who will staff the event?
YMCA Hayo-Went-Ha Camps staff will be on site to help with check-in, coordination, and overall support. Community partners will staff their own booths and activities.
Will food be provided?
Yes. Food will be provided, and all families are welcome to join us for lunch.
