Quarkmine and Elk Rapids Public Schools have teamed up to present the Elk Rapids VEX IQ Qualifying Tournament. This State Championship qualifying event is the third event of the 2017-2018 season.
Elementary and middle school students from all over Michigan will descend upon Cherryland Middle School on November 11 to compete for awards and State Championship spots. Teams will compete in a non-stop, action-packed day of teamwork challenges where they will use their custom-built robots and gain valuable experience in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through the use of VEX IQ.
The Elk Rapids VEX IQ Qualifying Tournament is one in a series tournaments supported by Quarkmine, REC Foundation, and various national, regional, and local sponsors. The competition season culminates each spring at the VEX Robotics World Championship, where these exemplary teams will have the opportunity to challenge their top-ranked peers from around the country and the world.
