Description
Watercolor is an ideal medium for capturing the beauty and strength of native wildflowers. In this class, students will learn how to observe flowers closely and translate their shapes, colors, and details into watercolor paintings.
Beginning with simple contour line drawings, students will move on to watercolor techniques that help flowers feel lively and expressive. Seasonal native flowers such as wild roses, oxeye daisies, and phlox will be used as subjects, depending on what is blooming at the time of the class.
