We hope to see you as we join public and private partners to celebrate the completion of Bayside Park, located along East Bay in Acme Township, and home to the first trailhead for the regional Traverse City ↔ Charlevoix Trail project.
This wonderful addition to our region is a celebration of accomplishments of powerful partnerships - past, present and future. We hope you can join us as we cut the ribbon on a project that's finished and another that's just begun!
This beautiful waterfront park and trailhead is the culmination of years of hard work spearheaded by Acme Township and the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy. Identified by Acme Township as part of the Traverse City ↔ Charlevoix Trail, this is the first trailhead for the proposed regional trail and was developed with future connectivity in mind. The trailhead features on-site restrooms and improvements such as expanded parking, new park amenities and trail connections. There are immediate plans for the trail to continue to M-72 and Bunker Hill, closing the gap and connecting to the existing 25 miles of the TART Trails network.
