Amateur Radio Field Day is an annual event where thousands of licensed amateur radio operators across the United States and Canada set up temporary radio stations and operate under portable or emergency‑style conditions. This year marks the 93rd year of this nationwide event, which highlights the importance of amateur radio for communication, preparedness, and public service.
Field Day is both a learning experience and a community activity. It demonstrates how amateur radio operators can establish communication when regular systems may not be available—all while welcoming the public to observe, ask questions, and learn more about ham radio.
This is a free event, open to everyone, including families and children.
