Scarecrows, Art, Local Brews & Tunes "Heat Up" Bellaire for the 20th Annual Harvest Festival
Celebrate everything Antrim County with the Bellaire Chamber of Commerce's 20th Annual Harvest Festival on September 29, 2018 from 10-6. Sponsored by DTE Energy Foundation, Fischer Insurance, Short's Brewing Company & New Hope Community Church
Join us in celebrating the end of summer and the bounty of the creative harvest. Experience why Antrim County is "in the heart of it all" with Bellaire's Harvest Festival's featuring art, flea markets, local brews, tunes, scarecrows and more.
Zany Scarecrows take over the streets of Bellaire where local businesses compete to win the "Best Scarecrow" award. Last year's winner, the Bridge Street Courtyard with 5 business coming together to have you follow the yellow brick road in the "Wizard of Oz". This year's theme is "Music"
Start the day with the the Fun Run 1 mile walk/run with Inspire Health at 10 am. Treasures await at the "Fine Art, Craft & Flea Market" along with Kid's Bounce Houses, antique apple tasting, live music and the "Beverage Tent" on Broad Street from 10-6 pm. Check out the Best Dressed Pet Parade at 1 pm sponsored by the Bellaire Animal Hospital and the "Chopped: Disaster Style" Cook-off at 2 pm presented by Antrim County Emergency Management.
Highlighting the Harvest Festival on Saturday, September 29 is an Antrim "Craft Beverage" Tent featuring Short's Brewing Company, Bee Well Meadery, Mammoth Distilling, Torch Lake Cellars, Townline Ciders and WaterFire Wines from 11-6 on Broad Street. Each pourer will feature of variety of $5 pours and money goes to support the Bellaire Chamber of Commerce's scholarship program and year round operations. Rock out to local music from regional musicians during Harvest Festivals "Open Mic Sessions" 12-6 on Broad St.
Take a break from the excitement to explore Bellaire's shops, restaurants and parks including the "Flying Piggies Funky Flea Market," at the Bellaire Public Library in partnership with The Flying Pig.. End the day with Short's Oktoberfest where you can pick up a commemorative stein at Short's Mart and catch live music on stage at 8:30 pm. Lederhosen encouraged!
