2026 Economic Symposium

The Northern Lakes Economic Alliance invites business and community leaders from across the region to     attend the 2026 Economic Symposium on Friday, May 15, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Boyne Mountain Resort. This year's theme, "Made, Grown, and Built in Northern Michigan," will highlight the industries that form the foundation of our regional economy and explore the opportunities shaping its future.  

 

The Symposium will feature keynote speaker David Malpass, former President of the World Bank, whose global experience in economic policy and international finance will bring valuable perspective to conversations about growth and resilience in Northern Michigan. Attendees will join business owners, policymakers, and regional leaders for a day of insight, collaboration, and meaningful networking.
