The Music House Museum is proud to present Buster Keaton’s The Cameraman and the short Neighbors three accompanied by Interlochen Arts Academy Staff Pianist, Steve Larson on Friday June 21 at 7:00PM

The Cameraman is a 1928 American silent romantic comedy directed by Edward Sedgwick and an uncredited Buster Keaton. The picture stars Keaton and Marceline Day. The Cameraman was Keaton’s first film under contract to Metro-Goldwin-Mayer. It is considered by fans and critics to be one of Keaton’s best and was added to the National Film Registry in 2005 as being deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”

Buster, a sidewalk tintype portrait photographer in New York City, develops a crush on Sally, a secretary who works for MGM Newsreels. To be near her, he purchases an old film camera, emptying his bank account, and attempts to get a job as one of MGM’s cameramen.

The Cameraman and the Buster Keaton short, Neighbors will be accompanied by long-time Music House contributor, Interlochen pianist Steve Larson on our nine-foot Baldwin Grand Piano at 7:00 PM on Friday June 21.

Steve Larson has played in recitals and chamber music festivals throughout the Midwest including the Absolutely Amadeus festival, the Manitou Music Festival and Chamber Music North. As a dance accompanist, Mr. Larson served as company pianist for the Milwaukee Ballet and has played for Minnesota Dance Theater, Alaska Dance Theater,

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Ballet Hispanico and others.
