Singer/Songwriter, Charlie Millard, at the Music House
The Music House is thrilled to welcome back Charlie Millard. We were first introduced to this talented young singer/song writer as one of the 'Friends' in our Nov. 2016 concert, 'The Accidentals and Friends'. He was as excited about the Music House as we were impressed with his talent! Charlie Millard has been entertaining Northern Michigan diners, audiences, fundraisers, and festivals with his piano playing since he was 14 years old. His first album, Hattie Jane, came out in 2012. Now at age 20, his second full-length album (Tiny Diamond Lies) will be released in October 2016. He has developed a unique sound, voice and thought-provoking lyrics/poetry of his own with tones of an indie-Americana style that is reminiscent of a Seventies’ folk/rock, singer/songwriter. Charlie co-founded Hattie Jane Records with his song writing, record producing, and playing partner, and father, Jerry Millard. With percussionist Michael Binienda, they have formed a trio that has been thrilling crowds wherever they stop to play, with influences like Tom Waits, Patrick Watson, and The Kinks.
