Elk Rapids Indigenous Youth invite the community to join us in welcoming Josephine Mandamin and friends.
Guest of Honor, Josephine Mandamin, Anishinaabekwe Water Walker has helped bring awareness to the importance of water and the need to protect it. Josephine has walked 10,000 + miles journeying around the Great Lakes, the Mississippi River and other waterways. In doing so she has inspired many and brought forth International awareness. Community feast prepared by ER Indigenous Youth Group, the students will be harvesting and preparing some traditional foods to be served with the menu. ER Indigenous Youth Group is a student led group focusing on the importance of preserving culture, building positive relationships, and being good stewards of the Earth.
