Join us on Saturday, July 11 at 7:00PM for an inspiring evening of Baroque music featuring harpsichordist Dr. Alexandra Dunbar, early keyboard and Musicianship Faculty at Interlochen Arts Camp and a graduate of The Juilliard School. Dr. Dunbar will be joined by fellow Interlochen Arts Camp faculty artists to perform beloved Baroque masterpieces, culminating in Johann Sebastian Bach’s riveting Musical Offering—a work of extraordinary ingenuity.
Dr. Alexandra earned her Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees in Harpsichord Performance from The Juilliard School. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from the Manhattan School of Music. As a high school student, she studied piano and violin at the Interlochen Arts Academy and Interlochen Arts Camp. Her solo harpsichord performances with orchestra include appearances with Orchestra 54, Dorian Baroque Orchestra, The Memphis Chamber Music Society, The Symphony of Westchester, and The Chamber Orchestra of New York. She has also performed with The Dryden Ensemble, the Foundlings Ensemble, the New York Philharmonic, and the Atlanta Baroque Orchestra. Dr. Dunbar serves on the music faculty at the University of North Georgia and the Interlochen Arts Camp. She also maintains a private teaching studio and an active performance schedule with the Amethyst Baroque Ensemble, Astralis Baroque Chamber Ensemble, New Orleans Jazz Stompers, and as organist at Madison First United Methodist Church (Madison, GA).
Tickets can be purchased at MyNorth Tickets for $25.00 or $30.00 at the door. Visit musichouse.org for more information.
