Harbor Clean Up

Harbor Clean Up.  Saturday May 7, 2016 Scuba Diving Clean-Up 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Harbor Boat Launch. Lunch BBQ 12:00 pm at Harbor Pavilion Local Underwater Attractions Presentation Chris Doyal at1:00 pm at Harbor Pavilion Green Elk Rapids, Edward C. Grace Memorial Harbor, and Elk Rapids Historical Society are partnering to provide an opportunity to help keep our community harbor beautiful. Area scuba divers are invited to join the Antrim County Dive Team to clean up any trash or debris from the harbor bottom. Scuba North will be providing free rentals and free air fills for those participating. Immediately following the clean-up, join us for a barbeque lunch provided at the harbor pavilion. The event will conclude with a presentation at 1:00 p.m. on local diving attractions by diver and underwater photographer Chris Doyal. This presentation will pair nicely with Elk Rapids Area Historical Society monthly presentation on April 14, 2016 by Phil Hartmeyer on new research conducted at NOAA's Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary. We welcome all to come and participate and enjoy our community's water resources.
