DESCRIPTION:Join us for a jewelry shopping experience with Laura Schichtel\, a local metalsmith and jewelry designer!  Laura will be with us in the WaterFire tasting room on Sunday\, December 10th\, from 1-5 PM.  Grab a glass of wine and come check out her work.  She may have that unique gift you're looking for this holiday season!\n\nAbout Laura:\n\nLaura collects raw rocks\, polishes them\, and creates the settings. Her bespoke\, intentional woodland-style jewelry uses a mixture of metals\, including 14k gold\, Argentium sterling silver\, copper\, brass\, bronze\, and even Christmas tins.  To create the desired look\, she cuts\, saws\, embosses\, and hammers parts\, then combines them with a torch (soldering) and/or cold connections like rivets.  She has done art fairs for over the states for 30 years and has exhibited her work in MI\, OH\, WI\, VA\, FL\, OR\, and NY.  She has sold internationally as well.
