DESCRIPTION:Voices from Maple Grove\n\nBring your family to this fun and fascinating theatrical event!\n\nJoin us for a glimpse into the past! \n\nPoliticians\, farmers\, business owners\, ironworkers  meet our deceased founders\, settlers\, and ancestors as they share their own\, heroic stories with you. Authentic\, costumed actors portray men and women from Elk Rapids area's past on the grounds of Maple Grove Cemetery (Sept 20 and 21) or Historic Elk Rapids Town Hall (Sept 24).\n\n"Grave diggers" will guide you through five gravesite performances\, share the history of the cemetery and introduce the characters.\n\nTotal timing for play: 90 min.\n\nPrice: all tickets $20.  \n\nThe cemetery event offers an easy walk on flat gravel paths. Attendees can sit or stand at each gravesite. This event will run rain or shine\; there are no refunds. Tickets for audience groups are timed and must be purchased in advance.\n\nPlease note: the Wednesday\, September 24 event is a seated performance at the Elk Rapids Historic Town Hall and is for anyone with limited mobility or time conflicts with the Sept 20 and Sept 21 dates. It will feature the same five scenes in one\, continuous play. It is not a rain date for the weekend performances.\n\nPresented by Elk Rapids Area Historical Society and The ER Players.
