DESCRIPTION:The Moxie Strings will be in Concert at the Music House Museum on Friday\, Nov. 30th at 7 pm. These talented and dynamic performers are popular where ever they perform. Hailed by The Grand Rapids Press as "top-notch\, instrumental wizardry"\, Diana Ladio and Alison Lynn offer listeners the unique opportunity to experience some of the world's best- known instruments through a new lens. The Moxie Strings will also be conducting a workshop at the Music House on the 30th for area high school orchestra students as part of their non-profit educational program\, The MOX Project. This project is designed to offer musical enrichment and creative inspiration to underserved youth nationwide. \n\nAlison performs on a electric cello and Diana on a contemporary 5-string violin. The Moxies compose the majority of their pieces and arrange melodies from many countries\, resulting in a genre-blurring blend of ear-catching\, and foot-stomping\, rock-influenced rhythms. The band's polished\, high-energy show continues to redefine strings' role in contemporary music\, and offers audience members a fun\, musical experience. \n\nTickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students.
