DESCRIPTION:In April of 2020\, Enbridge Energy submitted multiple permit applications to the state and federal governments to replace and relocate a portion of the Line 5 pipeline in a tunnel beneath the Straits of Mackinac. In order for the tunnel project to become a reality\, Enbridge must obtain local\, state\, and federal approvals. Many decisions are expected in late 2020.
