DESCRIPTION:The 8th Annual Technology Career Fair in Traverse City will connect job seekers with opportunities in Information Technology (IT)\, Visual Communications\, Engineering Technology\, and Welding Technology. Local employers in those fields will be at the Career Fair recruiting qualified candidates for current open positions and internships. The April 23 event is being hosted by Northwest Michigan Works! and Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) and will run from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at NMC's Hagerty Center located at 715 East Front Street. Along with local employers\, the career fair will include information and resources for people considering technology careers.\n\n \n\nEmployers participating in the Technology Career Fair include: Advanced Computer Solutions\; Atlas Space Operations\; Cherry Republic\; Corbin Design\; Custom Stems\; Flight Path Creative\, LLC\; Fugro\; Hagerty\; Interlochen Center for the Arts\; Janco International\; Knorr Marketing\; Lear Corporation\; Midmark RTLS\; Munson Healthcare\; National Vacuum Equipment\; NextGen Healthcare\; Safety Net\; Saralee Frozen Bakery\; Thompson Surgical Instruments\; Trimet Industries\; UA Local 85 Plumbers\, Steamfitters\, and HVAC Service Techs\; Wolf Line Construction\; Wyant Computer Services\; 4Front Credit Union\, and more.\n\n \n\nRepresentatives from Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) and Ferris State University (FSU) will also be available to answer questions about education and training opportunities for anyone interested in technology careers.\n\n \n\nJob seekers attending the event should be prepared for a professional\, onsite interview.
