DESCRIPTION:The 7th Annual Technology Career Fair in Traverse City is expanding this year to include Information Technology (IT)\, Visual Communications\, Engineering Technology\, and Welding Technology. Local employers in those fields will be at the Career Fair recruiting qualified candidates for current open positions and internships. The April 12 event is being hosted by Northwest Michigan Works! and Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) and will run from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at NMC's Hagerty Center located at 715 East Front Street. Along with local employers\, the career fair will include information and resources for people considering technology careers.\n\n \n\nEmployers participating in the Technology Career Fair include: Advanced Computer Solutions\, Bay Motor Products\, Bridge Tool & Die\, Britten\, Century Inc\, Corbin Design\, EJ\, Electro-Optics Technology\, Grand Traverse Resort and Casinos\, Great Lakes Stainless\, Inacomp Computer Centers\, Interlochen Center for the Arts\, Knorr Marketing\, Mesa Labs\, Michigan Scientific Corporation\, Plascon Group\, RJG\, Rockstar Enterprises\, SafetyNet\, Shoreline Fruit\, Skilled Manufacturing\, Star Cutter Company\, Strata Design\, Thompson Surgical\, Tyson\, UA Local 85 Plumbers and Steamfitters\, and more.\n\n \n\nRepresentatives from Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) and Ferris State University (FSU) will also be available to answer questions about education and training opportunities for anyone interested in technology careers.\n\n \n\nJob seekers attending the event should be prepared for a professional\, onsite interview.
