DESCRIPTION:The Music House is proud to welcome back Detroit Red Wings organist Dave Calendine on Friday\, July 17 at 7:00 p.m. for a live accompaniment of the classic silent film Suds\, starring Mary Pickford\, on the Mighty Wurlitzer Theatre Organ.\n\nSuds is a 1920 American silent comedy directed by John Francis Dillon and starring Mary Pickford. The film is based on the 1904 English stage play 'Op o' Me Thumb\, a one-act work first produced in London and presented the following year in New York with Maude Adams.\n\nDave Calendine is an accomplished organist\, pianist\, and entertainer. A resident of the Detroit area\, he is one of the organists for the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Tigers\, serves as staff organist at the Fox Theatre\, and has accompanied the Rockettes in both Detroit and New York. He also performs at the Redford Theatre and his church\, and has presented concerts at the Sanfilippo Foundation in Illinois and at national Music Box Society International conventions. Calendine is also a past president of the American Theatre Organ Society (ATOS).\n\nTickets are $25.00 in advance through MyNorth Tickets or by reservation at 231-938-9300\, and $30.00 at the door.
