DESCRIPTION:Jazz Pianist & Vocalist\, BENJAMIN FURMAN To perform at TWISTED FISH GALLERY in ELK RAPIDS Friday\, August 30\, 2024\, 6pm to 7pm\n\n\n\nOur second "MUSIC UNDER THE PINES" is happening outside\, on the lawn of our Cottage Gallery on Friday\, August 30th featuring the Latin Jazz music of Benjamin Furman.\n\n\n\nGuests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs\, picnics & picnic blankets to cozy up outside as we swing and sway to Benjamin's original songs and piano accompaniment. Having provided a beautiful performance last year at the gallery\, we know that this will be a treat for the entire family.\n\n\n\nMore on Benjamin  Benjamin has performed on stages around the world\, including performances in South America (Chile\, Argentina\, Uruguay\, Colombia)\, New York\, Boston\, Middle East (Jordan\, Bahrain\, Kuwait)\, Canada and other locations. He performed in "Festival Internacional Jazz a la Calle" (Uruguay)\, "Jazz Composer Series" (Montreal)\, "Festival Internacional Jazz Lebu" (Chile)\, "Boston Green Fest"\, "Dar al Athar" (Kuwait) and many more. He collaborates with renowned musicians such as Tsidii Le Loka ("The Lion King")\, Tali Rubinstein\, Paz Court\, Benjamin Walker\, Marta Bot a ("Ella Baila Sola")\, Yousif Yaseen\, Yotam Ben-Or and others. He is an active performer in the NYC scene\, with presentations in some of the major musical venues of the city. His composition "Felina" won the first prize in the 2016 USA Songwriting Competition. As a sideman he has collaborated in various discographic works including "Visions" by Yousif Yaseen\, "Ocean Avenue" by Juana Luna and "Embracing Clarity" by Juan Dhas.\n\n\n\nParking for the concert is available on S Bayshore Dr as well as behind our Cottage Gallery in the grassy lot. This is a free concert\, but donations for Benjamin will be welcomed after the show.
