DESCRIPTION:Join Paddle Antrim and Grass River Natural Area for an unforgettable birding paddle adventure! Grab your paddleboard\, kayak\, or preferred watercraft and embark on a journey to explore the natural beauty and diverse birdlife of Grass River.\n\nLed by Grass River's knowledgeable education director and seasoned birder\, this leisurely paddle will offer opportunities to identify birds and learn about the rich history of the area. Set aside one hour of your morning for this tranquil experience\, beginning promptly at 8:00 AM from Willow Day Park.\n\nPaddle Antrim welcomes paddlers of all ages and skill levels to join us for this enriching excursion. This approximately one-hour paddle is free of charge\, and no prior registration is necessary. Please remember to bring your own watercraft\, paddle\, and personal flotation device (PFD)\, ensuring safety on the water. As per Paddle Antrim's safety protocols\, all participants must wear their PFDs throughout the paddle. While participants of all ages are invited\, minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.\n\nDIRECTIONS TO WILLOW DAY PARK: From Bellaire\, drive south on M-88 just over 2 miles to Brake Rd. Turn right on Brake Rd and drive about one mile to White Birch Lane. Turn right on White Birch Lane (it does say private road but please continue) and Willow Day Park is almost immediately on the left.\n\nAll paddlers must complete a paddling event waiver prior to participation. Waivers can be viewed and signed digitally.\n\nComplete Waiver\n\nTo protect our waters\, anytime you change waterways you should ALWAYS Clean\, Drain\, and Dry your boat and gear to prevent the spread of invasive species. Before joining us out on the water\, we ask that you Clean\, Drain\, Dry your boat and gear. To wash your own boat\, check out this link . We recently had New Zealand Mud Snails found in our waterways and hope everyone will do their part to protect our lakes/rivers.
