She was classically trained in the modified Salzedo Method\, studying under Joan Holland\, harp instructor at the Interlochen Center for the Arts. Ariel furthered her education through the liturgical harp workshop at Notre Dame. Ariel performs on two beautiful harps\, both manufactured in Italy by the world renowned Salvi Company. One is a 38-string "Ana" lever harp\, and the other 47-string gold gilded Concert Grand. She writes most of her own arrangements\, combining her passion for the flowing melodies of folk music with the elegance of classical technique. Her technique and style both as a performer and arranger have been shaped by the work of Sylvia Woods\, Joanna Mell and Sunita Staneslow.
