Bow and stern forward stokes and maneuvering strokes as well as general paddling safety including deep water rescues will be covered. Learn how to gracefully paddle a canoe and great way to prepare for that canoe camping trip to the Boundary Waters! This is a great class for those new to canoeing or those who have had no formal instruction.\n\nParticipants must be at least 14 years old and meet the ACA eligibility requirements (http://www.americancanoe.org/default.asp?page=EEC).\n\n\n \n\nWhat To Bring\n\n\n\n Minimum 14 foot long Tandem Canoe with floatation (built in or float bags). If you do not have your own canoe please contact the instructor and we will try to make arrangements for a canoe to be available for the class.
