DESCRIPTION:SUP or Stand Up Paddleboarding is the fastest growing paddle sport in the world and for good reason. It's a ton of fun! Whether you want to paddle SUP for fitness on your local pond\, explore meandering rivers\, play on the Great Lakes or run whitewater on a paddle board then this is the place to start. Whether you are new to the sport or have been paddling for a while but haven't had any formal instruction then SUP Fresh Start will get your strokes and board control cleaned up for maximum efficiency and fun. Course Covers: Safety gear\, paddle board design\, stance/paddle grip\, forward stroke\, stopping\, turning\, draw stroke\, and rescues. Participants must be at least 14 years old and meet the ACA eligibility requirements. Participants must bring the following equipment: stand up paddle board\, paddle\, pfd (life jacket). All classes are taught by ACA (American Canoe Association) certified instructors. Class size is limited with a 5:1 maximum student to teacher ratio. Classes are non-refundable.
