DESCRIPTION:The Village of Elk Rapids is putting together its first Citizens Academy! This Academy is designed for anyone who lives or works in the Village. Presented by the Village Council and Staff\, it is an opportunity to learn about how things work around town while improving communication\, access\, and understanding. Participate because you are curious or to better prepare for a citizen leadership role. Informed citizens help shape the future of Elk Rapids. Upon completion of all 4 sessions\, participants will receive certificates and be awarded "Citizens Academy Ambassador" status.\n\nClass size will be limited to ensure that participants can have conversations. This is a first-ever opportunity and class members will help shape future sessions with their input. Registration will begin on April 25\, 2022 through May 25\, 2022. Sessions will be held once a week on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 p.m.   8:00 p.m.\, primarily at the Governmental Center.
