DESCRIPTION:Geology Discovery Program: Exploring the Geology of the Grass River Natural Area\n\nSunday\, October 9\n\n10:00 am   12:00 pm   optional lunch at noon\n\n$5 per person\n\nJoin author and Earth scientist Steven Veatch for a morning\, to kick off Earth Science Week and to connect with nature and geology at the Grass River Natural Area. First\, meet at the visitor center for a presentation on the geologic processes that created the GRNA's landscape. Next\, we will hike the Sedge Meadow Trail (less than one mile) where we will discuss the geology and natural history of the area at selected stops. For an additional hour (optional) extend the morning's event by gathering for lunch at picnic tables under a pavilion (bring your own and something to drink).
