DESCRIPTION:Elk Rapids Free Fishing Expo\, scheduled to be held on Thursday\, June 29\, has expanded through the years from a six-person Q&A panel and around 60 people in attendance to 15-18 tables of fishing information and approximately 175-250 in attendance. Door prizes range from $375-$500.\n\n\n\nThe event currently has 18 sponsors\, including three out-of-state fishing equipment companies. Some of the tables include the best summer lures\, baits\, rod making\, fly fishing-fly tying\, how to fillet your catch\, and a lot more fishing information. In addition\, there is a Veteran's Corner manned by the Antrim Veteran's Organization and a representative from The Fallen Outdoors\, an organization whose nationwide mission is organize outdoor adventures for veterans past and present. An added feature will be the DNR research vessel STEELHEAD in port for free tours starting at 4 p.m.
