SUMMARY:Fifth Annual Great Beerd Run 5K Fun Run with Craft Beer Tasting Along the Way
DESCRIPTION:Attention all beer\, beard\, and running enthusiasts! Grand Traverse Resort and Spa invites you to join us on Saturday\, November 10\, 2018\, at 10 a.m. for a celebration of fitness\, facial hair\, and beer in the fifth annual Great Beerd Run.\n\n \n\nThis 5K fun run begins at the Resort's Pavilion and has beer tastings scattered throughout the course as well as at the start and finish lines of the race. We will feature local beers from Beards Brewery\, Short's Brewery\, and Right Brain Brewery. At the post-race party\, join us for our Best Beard competition\, with prizes for winners with both the Best Natural Beard and the Best Assisted Beard. Although the run is untimed\, the fastest male and female runners will also be rewarded with Nordic inspired knitted beard/hat sets.\n\n \n\nThe $40 race entry cost includes a Beardo knitted beard cap\, three (3) on-course beer tastings\, a bottle opener lanyard\, entry into the post-race party featuring live music\, and one glass of beer during the post-race party. (A $30 registration fee is also available with all of the great race perks\, minus the Beardo knitted beard cap.)\n\n \n\nFor runners with young children\, licensed on-site childcare is available during this year's Great Beerd Run! Bring your kids (6 months and older) to the Cub House\, 9:00 a.m. to noon. The Cub House is located in the Resort's Health Club and is fully staffed by licensed childcare professionals. The cost is $8.50 per child per hour. Children must be pre-registered by calling 231-534-6780 by November 1.\n\n \n\nOther Information:\n\n\n All participants must be at least 21 years old.
