SUMMARY:Elk Rapids Women
DESCRIPTION:After a successful season of informational\, educational\, and entertaining events\, the Elk Rapids Women wrap up their 2016/17 season and kick-off the summer with their final meeting at the Torch Lake Caf \, Thursday\, June 1. "We had a nice mixture of networking\, education\, and fun this year\," said Mary Beth Vandenberg\, president of the Elk Rapids Women. "Some activities drew more than others\, but we had new faces almost every month." \n\nEvery year\, the Elk Rapids Women reserve their June meeting to install officers for the coming year and enjoy some networking while supporting local restaurants. They also prepare for their scholarships' major fundraiser\, their fish pond booth at Evenings on River Street in Elk Rapids. "Our June 1 event is a wrap-up of the year\," said Vandenberg. "We review what we've done\, get some feedback\, and discuss what next year might look like." \n\nWhile this will be their last meeting until September\, Vandenberg hopes ladies from the community will join them for dinner and conversation. "The Elk Rapids Women's group is a great opportunity to network\, meet your neighbors\, learn and experience some new things\, do some good works in the community\, and have fun\," she said. "I'm not sure what is in store for the 2017/18 season\, but we never disappoint." \n\nThe Elk Rapids Women will meet at the Torch Lake Caf at the corner of US-31 and M-88 on Thursday\, June 1 at 6 p.m. Attendees will enjoy dinner off the menu. RSVPs are needed by Tuesday\, May 30. To reserve your spot\, call Mary Beth Vandenberg at 231-633-0305 or send an email to elkrapidswomen@gmail.com.
