DESCRIPTION:Dan Ernst\, Elk Rapids summer resident\, will be presenting a "Book Talk" on his recent publication\, "The Diplomat and His Daughter"  This book takes you back to the twenties.  In 1924 and American professor at Drake University in Des Moines\, Iowa\, was appointed Envoy Extraordinary Minister Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Poland and later Finland.  His daughter\, in her twenties\, served as his diplomatic hostess.  They both recorded what took place in their diaries and kept many souvenirs and pictures from these times\, which were used to produce this book.
