DESCRIPTION:We are excited to be hosting "Be a Hero by Helping our Heroes" auction event on August 14\,2026 for the South Torch Lake Firefighters Association.\n\n\n\nThe purpose of the STL Firefighters Association is to assist in community awareness and education of the public and to provide equipment for the health and safety of the South Torch Lake Fire Department. The department is comprised of paid on-call volunteers\, which are highly educated and trained to serve and protect our community. STLFD is a constant presence in the community\, hosting and volunteering at events:\n\n\n\nCommunity Dinners\n\n\n\nFeeding families at Christmas\, providing Christmas gifts for families\, and bringing Santa to the party.\n\n\n\nAssisting with utility bills\, supplying wood for heating homes for those in need.\n\n\n\nPancake Breakfast Fundraiser\n\n\n\nSummertime Beef Roast Fundraiser\n\n\n\nThough the generosity of many we have over twenty surfboards designed by local businesses\, artists\, and members of the community. We will feature a different surfboard on our FB page daily.\n\n\n\nThe surfboards will be on display at the restaurant for viewing.\n\n\n\nAuction preview is 6:30 PM on Friday August 14th\, and the auction will start at 7:30pm at Johnny's Torch Riviera.\n\n\n\nIf you are unable to attend the event\, we will have absentee bid sheets.
