DESCRIPTION:Elk Rapids   The Watershed Center Grand Traverse Bay\, a non-profit that advocates for water quality in Grand Traverse Bay and its watershed\, will offer free Bay Monitor tugboat tours and water tours during Elk Rapids Harbor Days Aug. 5-6. \n\n \n\nThe Bay Monitor is a 23-foot aluminum hull tugboat that hosts a variety of eco-friendly features\, including a clean bilge system\, dry exhaust and energy-efficient diesel engine that utilizes bio-diesel. \n\n \n\nThe tugboat is a vital component of the Grand Traverse Baykeeper  program\, providing a stable platform for water quality monitoring\, research and education.\n\n \n\nFriday\, August 5 \n\n \n\n	Dockside Tours: 3-7 pm\n	Tours on the water: 3 pm\, 5 pm & 7 pm\n\n \n\nSaturday August 6\n\n \n\n	Dockside Tours: 1-5pm\n	Tours on the water: 1 pm\, 3 pm & 5 pm\n\n \n\nWater tours are on a first-come\, first-served basis for up to 6 people for each tour. Tours are free\; a $5 suggested donation for water tours will benefit The Watershed Center.
