DESCRIPTION:Elk Rapids initiates our 18th annual summer of fun with ART BEAT of Elk Rapids on Saturday\, June 3\, 2023. Three of Northern Michigan's award winning\, fine art galleries will be hosting our 18th annual art walk from 10am to 5pm. Come visit all three galleries for art demonstrations\, special prize giveaways\, drawings for gift certificates\, refreshments\, and more!\n\n \n\nEach Elk Rapids gallery is special\, and all offer fine art\, along with many affordable artist-made items. Three $100 gift certificates will be drawn from those visiting all three locations during the day.\n\n \n\nMullaly's 128 Studio & Gallery\, enjoying its 31st year representing excellence in fine art\, is located on River Street in downtown Elk Rapids. Mullaly's offers the finest selection of high-quality glass in Northern Michigan and has been recognized as the finest jewelry gallery in the area.\n\n \n\nThe Blue Heron Gallery\, located east of Route 31 on Ames Street for 22 years\, showcases hundreds of Michigan artists with the largest collection of paintings in the area. In addition to other artists demonstrating\, Gallery owner Dan Reszka\, widely known for his watercolors\, will be demonstrating in the morning\, and will have a drawing for some of his artwork during the day.\n\n \n\nThe Twisted Fish Gallery\, located south of Elk Rapids along Route 31\, has been serving artists and collectors for 20 years\, and features many large paintings\, and an outdoor sculpture garden. The Gallery will be holding an hourly gift certificate drawing and will host the book launch of "A Little Village Elk Story"\, illustrated by artist Joani Braun. Proceeds from the sale of this book about Elk Rapids will benefit the Downtown Elk Rapids Association.
